In this episode of CAKUart TV
we look at my painting...
"Sydney"
While I
working on my new painting, I started to read a little bit about
the history associated with the Sydney Opera house, and I soon
began to learn that it was not built without it's fair share of
problems.
In fact it
was one of the longest contractual sagas of the century. The
government itself changed the requirements for the building and
ordered the construction to begin, architect Jorn Utzon
protested that he hadn't yet completed the designs for the
structure eventually leading him to walk out on the project
altogether in 1966.
From
outsiders view it would’ve seemed like a doomed project. (Kaboom)
While the
original concept was put together back in 1957, the Opera House
was not completed until 1973 under the hands of a team of
Australian architects who saw the project to the end.
So it got me
top thinking (Ding vid)
Sometimes
life's delays are not necessarily life's denials.
Profound?
Perhaps
not…but I think there is something in it.
