I once read
somewhere that the whisper of temptation can
be heard farther than the loudest call to duty.
I guess it could be said that to resist temptation
makes our souls stronger or at least helps to refuel our
moral energy.
Painting
subject: Her real temptation is
reliving her past and the constant need for conversations with her
ex-partner.
It exposes her
weakness, vulnerability and her inability to move ahead. She is
somewhat awkward and symbolically naked as a result.
Most of us are
aware of our talents and abilities, but temptation
has knack of revealing who we really are.
