Just When I Thought About Giving Up

Carl, I wanted to write and thank you for your encouragement, your genuine passion you have for helping fellow artists and your ability to inspire. I am so very grateful for your newsletter, your website and your wonderful words of support.
I had but all forgotten about my art until recently. I am sure many people can relate; you get on the treadmill of life and suddenly you realise that you are no longer utilising your creativity to its full potential any more.
I used to feel a little ashamed of myself when I saw other artists out there doing it; creating and selling their work.
The time came when I said to myself, “That is it, I am no longer going to look at art as something that other people do and not myself because I don't have the time or energy... or confidence or whatever other excuse I keep trying to come up with...”
Around about the same time I started looking for simple tips to get me motivated and on my way, and it was then that I found your CAKUart website. I read so much, and things really started to sink in for me. I knew the rest was up to me.. I simply just had to stock up on materials, set up and confront the canvas and the rest would follow.
It is early days for me, but the spark is back, and I am finding my way around the canvas like old times.
Thank you so much for caring so much enough to write your newsletters of encouragement. You truly must be helping so many artists or even people who want to be artists, to succeed.
Warmest regards
Karen Marshall
